We have an unrivaled artist in residence programme, where you can see artist at work in our art studio. Occasionally artists associated with exhibitions also can be seen at work.

Sadly, our artist in residence programme was postponed from March 2020 and throughout much of 2021 due to Covid restrictions. So, in response to the Covid disruptions we began developing a selection of videos and flipbooks as a virtual way for you to get a glimpse of artists at work. Some films have commentaries, some don’t. Some are quite short, others a little longer. Some are time-lapse films following a piece from beginning to end and others tell stories of inspiration and technique in real time. None are designed to be instructional videos, but to be of interest to both the art appreciator and practitioner. We hope that they will inform viewers who may then look at other works in the future, or the natural world that has inspired them, with fresh eyes.
