Art Course
with Robert Cox 10am – 5pm
Maximum Participants: 8
On this 2-day course you will carefully study a natural object of your choice (seeds, leaves, shells etc) to pick out the shapes, forms, lines and textures occurring within it. You will then carve this form in lime wood, either in a representational or more abstract way. You may bring an object you have found either from home, on a walk or in the gardens at Nature in Art.
Robert will also provide a range of objects for reference but it is always good to work from something that you have been specifically drawn to yourself. Preliminary sketches in pencil and/or models in plasticine, depending on your abilities, will aid your 2 and 3 dimensional understanding of the object before starting in wood.
