Art Course
with Amanda Lawrence 10am – 5pm
Maximum Participants: 8
This 2-day course gives a taster of two techniques for creating images on glass. On day 1 you will learn several methods of applying enamels to glass, including monoprinting with natural materials. You will be able to create a dish or tile, enamelled with your own design inspired by your favourite landscape or wildlife image.
You will also create an enamel background which will come in handy on day 2, when, using a glass engraving drill and a variety of tools, you will learn basic engraving techniques. You will discover how to create a 3D effect using all sides of your glass and go away with a masterpiece of your own making!
Please note: enamelled pieces will need to be fired in the kiln – as many as possible will be fired overnight ready for day 2, but if space becomes limited you may need to collect some of your work from Nature in Art at a later date.
