A good selection of hard and soft pastel sticks and pastel pencils.
Artist’s Profile Andrew has been associated with Nature in Art now for over twenty years. During that time he has run numerous courses and in 2016 completed his 16th annual week as Artist in Residence.
As a professional artist he works in a variety of media, including graphite pencil, pastel and Chromacolour (acrylic). He has recently had his first book published which details his techniques for painting birds in Chromacolour and is currently working on a new book drawing birds in graphite pencil.
A fascinating display of digital artwork by Mark Ware that brings together art and science to explore how we respond to natural and built environments. It is one of a series of art science collaborations with psychologists and neuroscientists that are investigating the effects of the natural environment upon health and wellbeing.
A celebration of trees, with work almost exclusively by members of The Arborealists, a group of 43 artists with a national profile, from Wales to East Anglia and Sussex to Cornwall, of diverse art practice, philosophy, scale, medium, style and technique, who share the rich and versatile subject of the tree.

This 1-day course is a wonderful introduction to the world of coloured pencil techniques.
Learn the art of layering different coloured pencil strokes to create the ‘realistic details’ of a Barn Owl, using Derwent Coloursoft Pencils on a dark coloured Mount Board.
A line drawing will be provided to trace if you do not wish to draw the image free hand.

Artist’s Profile Karen is a self taught award winning coloured pencil artist and tutor, painting mostly wildlife subjects. She is a Gold Signature member of the UKCPS (UK Coloured Pencil Society).
She exhibits nationally and has won many awards for her detailed pencil work. She runs regular workshops in the Pencil Museum, Keswick as well as many classes in Hampshire, where she currently lives.
