Using festive nature from Nature in Art’s very own grounds, wire and a special type of resin to give that stained glass look, you will create a stunning Christmas flower wreath that will last all season (and will smell great too)!

This Christmas we are running a range of our popular art activity days for children aged 3 years and over. They include:

20th Dec – Christmas Wreath
21st Dec – Willow Sculpture
22nd Dec – Christmas Scraper Boards
23rd Dec – Stained Glass Effect Christmas Fairies
28th Dec – Glass Painting
29th Dec – Glitter Painting
30th Dec – Make Your Own Textile Bunting

Each workshop interprets the day’s theme using age appropriate materials and techniques. The different times are:
10.30-12.00pm: for 3 – 7 years
1.00-2.30pm: for 3 – 18 years
3.00-4.30pm: for 8 – 18 years

Each activity costs £6 per child and includes free entry to the museum for one accompanying adult. All activity must be booked in advance via our online booking system.

On this 2-day course you will learn all about working with graphite pencil from experienced artist Jamie Boots.

Graphite pencil can be used to produce so much more than just a sketch.

Jamie will show participants that whether or not you are using a pencil that is blunt or sharp, pressing lightly or hard, or using a variety of tones, that the effect of fur, the texture of skin and the glassy look of an eye can be achieved.

Artist’s Profile Originally from New Zealand, Jamie is a self taught artist whose work is produced in
graphite pencil. Jamie first exhibited his work in 2004 and has won a number of awards for his artwork.

In a very short period of time a hobby became a profession and with a limited number of originals being available each year his
drawings have become highly collectable.
