Artist in Residence
Members of the Gloucestershire Society for Botanical Illustration will be the artists in residence this week.
The Society was formed in 1993 and caters for those interested in botanical illustration, be they botanical illustrators or gardeners. Many of their members have won awards.
Their residency coincides with their annual exhibition, which is also on show at Nature in Art, until Sunday 13th March.
Artist in Residence
Wendy Hunt is both a painter and sculptor. She uses a variety of media to create detailed original art works. She grew up in the south of England and spent many years exploring the shores of the Solent, which is at the heart of her love of nature and wildlife.
Dare to Dabble
Choose from 2 sessions: 10.30am – 1.00pm or 2.00pm – 4.30pm
Learn about the different traditional techniques before creating your own aboriginal painting. Small rocks will be provided to paint on but please feel free to bring something bigger such as a terracotta plant pot.
