Winter Robin needlefelt with Agnese Davies

Course Description:
Agnese has previously run courses at Nature in Art and returns this December by popular demand. Participants will be needle felting a semi 3D version of Winter robin in a hoop. Agnese says ‘I will teach you how to use felting needles, mix wool colours with some silk and create a beautiful and bright little robin, that you can hang on your wall. All materials will be provided but if you have done needle felting and you have your own favourite tools, please bring them along.’
Materials Required:
Materials will be provided within the session for a charge of £10 to be paid on the day.
About the artist:
Agnese Davies is an award-winning artist who has gained international recognition for her lifelike creations. She is passionate about the natural world and loves all animals. Her sculptures are delicately created, crafting wool over carefully proportioned armatures. Great care is taken to capture the detail and personality of the individual subjects.
In 2024 and 2025 Agnese was a finalist in the Wildlife Artist of the Year. In 2023, amongst other highly commended awards, Agnese was the winner of the Ross-on-Wye Arts Competition and a finalist in the Broadway Arts Festival. She has been Artist in Residence at Nature in Art.

We have our amazing Mini Craft Market where our talented local crafters can get together to share and sell their handmade products.
Previous crafts have included: nature crafts, paper crafts, woodwork, paintings, illustration, crochet/knitting, weaving, decoupage, cards, glass, silk painting, textile bags, jewellery, resin art and flood painting.
Held in the Education Centre and is free to enter!

Join artist Jamie Boots for a two-day exploration into the nuanced world of graphite pencil art. This workshop delves beyond basic sketching, offering insights into the subtle techniques that breathe life into your creations. Participants will discover the art of manipulating pencil sharpness, pressure and tones to convey the fine details such as skin textures and expressive eyes.

Come with us from Advent, through the 12 days of Christmas, to Plough Monday, and find out what Christmas was like in the 16th century! A really entertaining and informative evening with ‘From time to time’.
Doors open 7pm to view galleries. Festive snacks at 7.30pm, followed by the event.
